Menz & Gasser was founded in 1935 when the Gasser family took over a small fruit-processing works in Lana, in Italy's Alpine South Tyrol, starting with apple compotes before growing into jams, syrups and preserves. The business moved to Novaledo in Trentino in 1974 and, over more than eighty years, became Italy's leading jam maker and one of Europe's largest producers, while staying rooted in the fruit-growing traditions of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The 'Prima Frutta' line is its premium range, made with high-quality fruit.
