Belazu Harissa & Pesto
A sweet-and-smoky variation on Belazu's signature spice paste, built around chipotle chilli and balsamic vinegar. Where the classic Rose Harissa leans floral and aromatic, this version is darker and rounder, with a barbecue-like smokiness and a gentle sweet edge.
Smoky chipotle warmth balanced by the mellow sweetness of balsamic vinegar, with cumin, cayenne and warm aromatic spice underneath. Medium heat, deeply savoury.
Rub onto lamb shoulder or chicken wings before roasting; stir into bean and vegetable stews; spoon over scrambled eggs on toast; use as a marinade for roasted vegetables; mix into mayo or soured cream as a smoky dip.

Belazu
Belazu began in 1991 when co-founder George brought a haul of fresh Provençal olives back to London; more than thirty years on it is one of the UK's most trusted names in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ingredients, known for working hand-in-hand with its growers for decades. Rose Harissa, prepared to a closely held recipe since 1995, is the product that put the brand on chefs' shelves — Yotam Ottolenghi calls for it by name in his books — combining roasted red peppers and smoked paprika with chilli and a distinctive note of dried rose petals.
