Dutchman's Gold
Dutchman's Gold was launched by the Van Alten family in 1981, selling bottled honey off the front porch of the family home and at local Ontario farmers' markets. Today the honey is produced by Master Beekeeper John Van Alten from the roughly 1,500 hives of Dutchman's Gold Apiaries in southern Ontario. This 'Raw Cru' honey is cold-handled, unpasteurized and only lightly filtered, so it keeps the naturally occurring bee pollen, propolis and beeswax that nature put there — a true raw food rather than a heat-clarified commodity honey.
